i had some old art from that same mindspace. maybe you'd like to see it here in this current blogspace:

i even have my desktop's mouse and kb put 'out of reach' right now.
using the 21.5" samsung screen for ps4 right now, which is background, mostly something like music or a movie or something.
i've diverted my pc driving to mobile for now. the 3 old thinkpads, and a macbook neo, primarily.
have handhelds for gaming, if i can muster, tho i also have a crt and a nice setup for that path too...
but some of the elements are good, like my nice powered speakers, fed by my fosi audio dac q4, which can translate usb digital signal like audio from a laptop or desktop, or optical, i guess, which like my 5 disc yamaha cd player can output too* hmmm
so, offline is still a thing, i surmise.

i got a pack of 'stickers' recently:
just took my win98se hdd out of the old r40 thinkpad and burned my really old 'winxp pro w/service pack 3' iso to a cd that my r40 can read, when i swap the zip drive out for the cd bay to use
...
ah, here's the drive i'm putting the win xp on atm:
| with my humblest digital (kodak) camera (which i love) (and has small picture file sizes) |
anyway, tried with the linuxes on this additional new 80gb drive, but its just not happening so far. tried antix, mxlinux, slackware, and debians... anyway, i think it may be interesting revisiting the xp.
what do you think? yea, it's most likely not an issue with the hdd's. i fear the most likely is that 32bit flavours of solutions are less well supported. but i am not sure of the details of the problem yet.
and well yeaa, windows 98/ dos is fun. why not another 80 gig hdd for windows xp 😎
...well that's interesting... the win xp setup/installer kept giving me a bsod (blue screen of death)... until i took out one of the 1gb sticks of ram. i think it was the one i got online as an upgrade. maybe that could be 'all the random software glitches'...
yes, interesting. i did only use half of this drive for win xp. so i could easily install a linux side by side, if that's the issues i was having with the linuxes (that bad ram (?))...
i guess i'll let you know. so far so good :P

[blah, was having issues with every install when i was trying with usb sticks, but i think it was cuz of the ram, now.. but that's how i tried a cd in these ventures... hehe] --EDIT--
this seems handy, and i couldn't remember it, having saved it in a script for convenience sake. but it works well for keeping screen awake for me in linux. i'll just share what i use for my script files, short and sweet:
gui-wake.sh:
#!/bin/bash
xset -dpms; xset s off
gui-unwake.sh:
#!/bin/bash
xset -dpms; xset s on
they are probably self explanatory, but the 'gui-wake.sh' keeps the screen awake, and the 'gui-unwake.sh' puts it back to normal.
cheers! (your welcome)
:P

[EDIT]
I had found the main part of this code online at some point but searching now I can't find it. I had to boot a Thinkpad with the script as I had reinstalled debian to the desktop*
"Nothing is ever easy"
there's this one poem that sticks in mind more/less vaguely i may recall
...
past the 7 planets
outside each four rings
to the center, to the core
of each and every living being
and from here you'll see the spirals
flowing outward from our god
pick the flowers
count the daisies
remember
ever
each and every seed we planted
you and i
come close to never
breathing in entire
sky
so we sit along the river
sailing ships through time and space
full of every type of creature
below heaven, here on earth
makes me think of membranes
like seran wrap covers all
itself its own universe
just like ours before our birth
===
k, but i should i keep better recording of the 'digital' medias i produce tho

[EDIT]
ya know, i was able to pull that creation from past/memory, but... i think i was more optimistically idealistic at that time, than i am now. like i don't think i could have created 'that' poem rn... ok then, wanted to disclaim that
[EDIT 2]
Ya know the number series I had started out with, involved reducing 7 to 6, 5, and 4, but beyond that it just returned to one insofar as numbers go I'd say this poem related to *7 reducing to 4*
[EDIT 3]
Perhaps the number series would shed light on things...
1 2 3 4 7 14 21 28
1 6 28
1 5
1
needs updating...
my inspired thought is "maybe my "shit" ain't worth sharing"...
this is like, got me wondering if maybe my sharing could do more negative than positive...
and ya know, tao of course is: 'action by way of non-action'...
i've been idealizing 'offline' for a while now...
so... got me thinking, is all... i guess...

[EDIT]
Not even a good logic on the risk of Negative as mentioned... Some negative should necessarily be avoided I'd like to believe
