i got a pack of 'stickers' recently:
i've already thrown one away. but this here's one i'm using now:
just took my win98se hdd out of the old r40 thinkpad and burned my really old 'winxp pro w/service pack 3' iso to a cd that my r40 can read, when i swap the zip drive out for the cd bay to use
...
ah, here's the drive i'm putting the win xp on atm:
| with my humblest digital (kodak) camera (which i love) (and has small picture file sizes) |
anyway, tried with the linuxes on this additional new 80gb drive, but its just not happening so far. tried antix, mxlinux, slackware, and debians... anyway, i think it may be interesting revisiting the xp.
what do you think? yea, it's most likely not an issue with the hdd's. i fear the most likely is that 32bit flavours of solutions are less well supported. but i am not sure of the details of the problem yet.
and well yeaa, windows 98/ dos is fun. why not another 80 gig hdd for windows xp 😎
...well that's interesting... the win xp setup/installer kept giving me a bsod (blue screen of death)... until i took out one of the 1gb sticks of ram. i think it was the one i got online as an upgrade. maybe that could be 'all the random software glitches'...
yes, interesting. i did only use half of this drive for win xp. so i could easily install a linux side by side, if that's the issues i was having with the linuxes (that bad ram (?))...
i guess i'll let you know. so far so good :P

[blah, was having issues with every install when i was trying with usb sticks, but i think it was cuz of the ram, now.. but that's how i tried a cd in these ventures... hehe] --EDIT--
